Isn’t that a great release date up there in the title? July 7, 2015. 7/7 sounds so crisp and cool. Which is fitting, because Skullgirls 2nd Encore , an updated version of Lab Zero’s Skullgirls , is shaping up to be a rather fresh game. By this time next week, you’ll be enjoying the fighter on your PS4.
Unfortunately, you won’t be playing the Vita version at the same time. There’s a slight delay keeping Skullgirls 2nd Encore from a simultaneous release. Instead, the portable version will be out six weeks after the original. That’s not too bad. We can keep the second week of August free.
On the plus side, Skullgirls 2nd Encore is a cross-buy title. So if you pre-order the PS4 version now, you’ll have the Vita version waiting for you when it does debut. You can’t beat that. It’s $24.99, $10 more than the $14.99 PS3 version of Encore , but that includes more gameplay modes, challenges, trophies, and voice acting, so it’s worth it.
