Do you love those games where you find yourself having to escape a room? What if you were able to escape a room on Mars? That’s what’s going to happen in Zero Escape 3 , the third installment in the Spike Chunsoft and Aksys series. Aksys staff was on-hand at Anime Expo 2015 with Kotaro Uchikoshi, the series’ writer, and it was one of many details to come up about the game.
The gameplay of Zero Escape 3 will be similar to other installments. A group of seemingly unrelated people will find themselves trapped in a Mars colony. They’ll have to go through puzzle and visual novel segments to find a way to escape. Given what we know about the series, it will be a harrowing experience. It also sounds as though a dog will be involved, perhaps as the “face” of Zero in the new game?
Aksys’ entire AX 2015 panel with Uchikoshi is quite enlightening, especially if you enjoyed 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors and Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward . If you have about 45 minutes, take some time and see what the company has to say about all three games.
Zero Escape 3 is still in development, but given the AX 2015 reveal, a North American release is pretty much guaranteed.
