There may be lingering unpleasantness between Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, and Konami, but that isn’t keeping the former from being his usual self on Twitter. A new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer is going to be released for the Tanabata Star Festival in Japan, based on the E3 2015 footage. Naturally, Kojima decided to tease people with it early.
Kojima took to Twitter to post a whole five seconds of the new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer. If you don’t have five seconds to watch, look at the image at the top of this article. That’s basically all you see for the entire period of time. A title screen and melancholy Snake is all we get for now.
The full video should be released on July 7, 2015. In it, people will be able to see how Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is more of an open world game than previous titles.
