There are certain game covers people look forward to. The Madden series is one, though that’s a little morbid due to the whole Madden Curse. The WWE ones are another, but that’s less depressing since it’s more about seeing which wrestler is taking the honor this year. For WWE 2K16 , it’s especially fitting, since Stone Cold Steve Austin gets to be on the box.
Now, as to why it’s fitting, think of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s WWE 2K16 cover as a send-off. He recently confirmed in an interview with the Associated Press that the match he had at WrestleMania XIX was his last match. He’s also been apparently assisting 2K Games with this title, but it hasn’t been revealed in what capacity.
You’ll be able to see Stone Cold on the cover in a few months. WWE 2K16 is set for an October 27, 2015 release date. That means you can spend the holidays wrestling with family and friends on your PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
