Hey, guess what? One of your old Blizzard Entertainment buddies is back! Though, I use the word “buddy” in the loosest sense of the word, because it’s really a recurring villain. King Leoric, from Diablo and Diablo III , is now a playable character in Heroes of the Storm .
King Leoric is a heavy hitter in Heroes of the Storm , and many of his special moves tie into him being undead. For example, he has a Skeletal Swing that can attack multiple enemies surrounding him. He also has a health sapping move called Drain Hope, or can turn into a ghost to teleport with Wraith Walk.
But, most importantly, King Leoric can tap into the fact that he’s undead to use a skill like Undying. If he dies, he’ll still be playable as a wraith. He may not have a body and need to wait to be revived, but he can still help his team in an ethereal state.
Here’s a trailer, so you can see how King Leoric plays before deciding whether or not you’d like to try using him in Heroes of the Storm , now that he’s part of the cast. Even if you already have a permanent champion and don’t feel like switching, it could prove to be helpful recon.
