International Dota 2 Championships Break Last Year’s Records

International Dota 2 Championships Break Last Year’s Records

The International Dota 2 Championships, otherwise known as TI5, is breaking its own records. Last year, the community funded prize pool came out to $10.9 million dollars, which already sounds very impressive for a MOBA tournament. However, this year the community funded prize pool has hit $16.5 million dollars, the largest it has ever been.

If the prize pool wasn’t impressive enough, the International Dota 2 Championships tournament will actually be coming to theaters near you. Yes, actual movie theaters. Hosted by Fathom Events, over 400 movie theaters across the U.S. will host viewing parties for the tournament.
