There’s fantastic news for everyone who’s visited the US version of the Phantasy Star Online 2 website , seen no changes, and sadly sighed as their hopes continued to die. Those people can now head over to the site for the Southeast Asian version of the game, which is in English, grab that client, and play it instead.
This is all due to an IP block being removed from Phantasy Star Online 2 . Previously, only people who lived in a Southeast Asian territory could play that version of the game. If someone wanted to play, they had to use a virtual private network to get in. But now, there’s no need for a workaround. All are welcome.
Sega hasn’t said why the policy has changed. It may be best to accept the situation has improved and take advantage of it so we can finally play Phantasy Star Online 2 .
