We are on the verge of an interesting revolution in technology. All of our devices are starting to become standardized. USB is perhaps the first wave of this movement. Now your game controllers, phones, tablets, GPS devices, MP3 players, and even clocks all utilize USB ports for charging or operation.
But Samsung is taking this a step further. They are releasing a brand new PC monitor known as the SE370 which will actually wirelessly charge your electronics.
If you are one of those people that leaves your phone by the base of your computer monitor, then you are in luck. The base of this 23.6 inch display comes with a charging dock attached. Utilizing the technology of Qi wireless charging, simply putting your phone in the proximity of the monitor’s base will charge them. Of course, this is only for cell phones that support wireless charging, but this will likely become the standard in the future.
A 27-inch version of the monitor will also be made available. The monitor can charge any device, as long as it is Qi compatible.
