The Final Fantasy -branded Monster Hunter style game is coming over from Japan. Final Fantasy Explorers is getting localized and will appear in North America on January 26, 2016. Europeans will get it three days later.
Final Fantasy Explorers is all about crystals. Everyone is fighting over them and you’re sent to an island to search for a Grand Crystal. However, you’re not supposed to do it alone. Ideally, you’ll find three friends or strangers to work with as you explore areas and fight bosses.
The 3DS game wasn’t only notable for its cooperative gimmick in Japan. Final Fantasy Explorers is fanservice at its finest. People can use the Trance mechanic to turn into iconic characters like Cloud, Lightning, and Terra. Also, summons from previous games can be used in battles.
