Summer Games Done Quick Raised $1.2 Million

Summer Games Done Quick Raised $1.2 Million

The Summer Games Done Quick speedrunners didn’t have to time travel to make a difference this year. SGDQ’s participants raised an incredible amount of money for charity from viewers by being themselves. This year, SGDQ raised over $1.2 million.

The SGDQ 2015 charity of choice was Doctors Without Borders. The number that came in as the final game of the event, Chrono Trigger , was beaten was $1,230,852. All of that money goes directly to the charity.

SGDQ’s final total for this event will likely be higher. Though the speedruns are over, donations are being taken at the Games Done Quick website.
