In a first for Telltale and a first for Minecraft , Minecraft: Story Mode will be coming to the Wii U. This will be the first modern Telltale game and the first Minecraft game on a Nintendo platform.
This is also peculiar, however. It means that a platform without the main Minecraft experience will have its story experience. Perhaps Telltale is banking on the fact that Wii U owners will have experienced Minecraft in some form off the platform, which is a decent bet. Minecraft doesn’t take much power to play on a PC. Nintendo fans have been asking for Minecraft to come to the Wii U or 3DS for some time now, and perhaps this will usher in that opportunity.
In addition to the Wii U, Minecraft: Story Mode will also be coming to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Mac, Android, and iOS.
