Hatsune Miku is getting another game! For a virtual idol, she sure gets around. And is successful too, since Sega has decided PS4 and Vita owners will need Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X in 2016. Details are scant at the moment, but there is an initial trailer and hints at a new game mode.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X will have a Live Quest Mode. However, the video doesn’t show how this will work in the game. Perhaps it will be objective-based gameplay like that found in IA/VT Colorful , where a player must reach certain scores or goals before being allowed to proceed in one mode.
Given that Sega has brought Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F , Project Diva F 2nd and Project Mirai DX stateside, I think it’s fine to hope we’ll see Project Diva X in 2016 too. The Vita version will be out in March 2016, with the PS4 version following in the fall.
