Razer Developing Pro Xbox One Controller

Razer Developing Pro Xbox One Controller

The Xbox One Elite controller made news at this year’s E3 for being a pro-centric controller with a one hundred and fifty dollar pricetag. Now, another company, Razer, is getting in on the pro controller business.

Their new controller, called the Razer Wildcat, will also retail for one hundred and fifty dollars. Described as “pro-gamer validated” and “tournament grade” the controller adds four buttons to the top and rear of the device. These new buttons (two new bumpers and two new triggers) can be programmed to perform any button input you want. It also has a “quick control panel” that will let you switch between different profiles. Strangely enough, however, this controller does not come with adjustable sticks, though its triggers do have adjustable pull distances. Instead it comes with a series of optional rubber grips that add traction and weight to the controller.

Still it seems like this controller still offers slightly less than the Xbox One Elite controller will, and at the same price, the Wildcat will have to market itself to a completely different set of pro gamers in order to be successful.
