Activision has announced two new characters for Skylanders SuperChargers . One is a rather familiar face, though. The newest game has 20 new figures and 20 vehicles, with 10 of the new people being entirely new visions of existing heroes. The latest heroes to join the crew are Splat and Big Bubble Pop Fizz.
Splat is a female magic character who looks like a satyr. She has goat horns and hooves, and wields a magic paintbrush for her attacks. She can even paint billy goats and golems to aid in her attacks. Her vehicle is the Splatter Splasher boat.
Here’s an interesting tidbit. Vicarious Visions’ Rob Gallerani, Lead Character and Vehicle Designer, said that Splat was originally called Oil Pan and was a Dark-type character, due to her being a Pan-like character and wielding oily black paint. This changed during the creation process, naturally.
Big Bubble Pop Fizz is the newly reimagined returning hero. This variation of the Skylander has a tuba, which blows out various potions for him to use that change his attacks when he drinks them. This revision also has the properties carry over to his animalistic form for the first time. His car is a hovercraft called the Soda Skimmer.
Skylanders SuperChargers is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, and mobile devices.
