Heroes of the Storm has 6 New Ways to Report Baddies

Here’s the thing about online games. You’re always going to have bad eggs. Blizzard Entertainment’s Heroes of the Storm is going to make turning them in easier once its next patch is released.

There will be six new categories that reports can fall under in Heroes of the Storm when you turn a misbehaving player in to Blizzard. You will be able to report them for Abusive Chat, AFK/Non-participation, Cheating/Botting/Hacking, Inappropriate Name, Intentionally Feeding XP, or Spam. Don’t worry if you’re playing as a hero like Abathur, as you won’t be reported, and Blizzard will check to see if people are being targeted in reports.

So what happens when someone is reported in Heroes of the Storm after the patch? Well, they’ll be silenced, suspended, and perhaps even permanently banned. Silenced players will have communication reduced, with the first incident lasting 24 hours. It will double with each report, and the punishment stacks, so someone could find themselves silenced for days, weeks, and maybe even months.

Give peace a chance and be nice to each other in Heroes of the Storm , okay?
