Street Fighter V may Have Costumes You Can Earn

Street Fighter V may Have Costumes You Can Earn

If you’ve played a Street Fighter game in the last few years, you’ve come to accept certain truths. For example, costumes probably are going to be paid DLC, and additional color schemes will be free. It’s the sort of world we live in. But news has come in from a Street Fighter V interview that suggests people may be able to dress fighters a little differently in the PlayStation 4 and PC version. In short, we may be able to earn new looks with a little effort.

This comes from an interview Dualshockers did with Matt Dahlgren, a Senior Product Manager at Capcom. To be exact, his phrasing in the interview is, “There should be a mixture of paid or earnable cosmetic content.” Now, that sort of obscure phrasing could mean that full costumes will only be available via pre-order promotions or paid DLC and the earnable cosmetic content could end up being alternate color schemes. Still, it never hurts to be optimistic about such things.

Street Fighter V will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Windows PCs in 2016. Hopefully we’ll hear more about costumes and unlockables in the months to come.
