If you’re the sort of person considering buying the collector’s edition of an expansion pack for a game, odds are you already know a lot of things about the series as a whole. Still, extra information never hurts, and Blizzard is ready to give it to you with the StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void Collector’s Edition. The extra special version of the final expansion pack for this installment is on the way and it not only entertains, but also educates.
In addition to a physical copy of Legacy of the Void , the StarCraft II collector’s edition comes with lots of other goodies. The aforementioned educational items are a StarCraft Field Manual that is filled with 174 pages of art and information and a behind the scenes two-disc DVD and Blu-ray set that talks about what went into this particular expansion pack.
The entertaining goodies are far more typical fare. You get a 21 track soundtrack CD. Also, you get in-game goodies for StarCraft II , World of Warcraft , Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm , and Diablo III . Starcraft II gets Purifier unit skins and portraits, the MMORPG gets an Archon pet, Hearthstone gets Protoss card back designs, Heores of the Storm gets a Void Speeder mount, and Diablo III adds Protoss Transmog armor and a Probe pet.
The StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void collector’s edition will be $79.99 when it is released on November 10.
