Lab Zero, the team that brought you the over-the-top 2D fighting game Skullgirls , has teamed up with 505 Games to bring you something truly special. In August the duo announced an exciting new project: a brand new action RPG called Indivisible . “ Indivisible is inspired by classics like Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid , but with the unique character, world, and gameplay depth Lab Zero is known for.” The studio hopes to fund their game through an indiegogo campaign . If donations reach $1.5 million, 505 Games will provide the remaining $2 million needed to produce and distribute the game.
To give gamers a taste of what it’s got cooking, Lab Zero has released a prototype demo that you can download right now from its website free of charge. It doesn’t take long to see that this is shaping up to be a unique gaming experience. The characters and enemies are beautifully hand drawn and animated, the story draws from a rich trove of mythology, and the music is being composed by Hiroki Kikuta, the man responsible for the Legend of Mana soundtracks. No doubt one of the biggest draws for the game will be its fast-paced and involved combat system, an area in which Lab Zero has already proven its mastery.
