Here’s an odd little Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition quirk. Even though this huge, $249.99 bundle is only available in-stores, due to it containing a massive statue of Master Chief and Spartan Locke, as well as a Metal Earth Guardian model, it comes with a code for a digital download of the game. Weird, right? Well, some people weren’t too pleased with that, and now Microsoft has offered an option for them to trade that digital code for a physical copy of the game.
It’s super easy to swap the digital Halo 5 code for a physical copy, provided you make sure you do so within a 12 day period. Between October 20 and November 1, people can ” Chat with Microsoft Support ” to start the process. You tell the agent you want to swap your unredeemed code with a physical disc, then give them your Xbox gamertag, email address, the 25-character download code, and your address. Within 3-5 business days, Microsoft will send you a physical copy of Halo 5, as well as a download code for the Warzone REQ Bundle and Halo: The Fall of Reach .
Halo 5 will be released on October 27.
