GameStop Getting Steam Controllers, Links, and Machines

GameStop Getting Steam Controllers, Links, and Machines

If you like to try things before you buy them, or at the very least see an item up close rather than blindly buy online, then Valve has you covered. Apparently, the company realized people might be hesitant to buy Steam Controllers, Links, and Machines off of the internet without seeing what they look like first, so starting November 10, GameStop stores will have Steam hardware sections.

GameStop and Valve will be referring to these places as Steam Sections. Gabe Newell, from Valve, referred to the section as a “store within a store.” People will find Steam prepaid cards in varying amounts, the $49.99 Steam Controller, $49.99 Steam Link, $99.98 Steam Controller and Link bundle, and various Steam Machines there.

At least this way, early adopters won’t have to worry about shipping and will be able to go in and immediately walk out with a piece of Steam hardware.
