One of the cool parts about Halo is how the games let people create their own maps. Turns out, Halo 5: Guardians will let people do that again too. Even though it won’t be present at launch, the Forge will return and give people tons of ways to make their own areas with their controllers. Control schemes have been fixed, free cameras added, precision editing offered, and there’s easy grouping and welding. Which will come in handy, since there will be over 1,600 objects to use and new sorts of budgets to determine how many you can use at once. There are even special Alpine, Glacier, and “Space” maps perfect for Forge customization.

Halo 5 will come to the Xbox One on October 27. You’ll be able to access the Forge before December ends. Specifically, 343 Industries is saying it’ll be out before the holiday break this year. You can spend Christmas and New Year’s Day making new maps!
