EA Acknowledges Balance Issues in Star Wars Battlefront

Last week, gamers on the PS4, PC and Xbox One were finally able to participate in the public beta for Star Wars Battlefront . One of the modes available in the beta is called “Walker Assault,” an asymmetric style map that allows players to relive the iconic battle of Hoth. Unfortunately, the Rebel team seems to have the odds overwhelmingly stacked against them.

EA acknowledges these imbalances and plans on doing something about it. Lead multiplayer designer, Dennis Brannvall took to Twitter to address concerns, stating “asymmetric modes are tricky and risky, but potentially awesome, that’s why we want beta test help.”

Level artist Daniel Cambrand clarified that they were definitely working on changes. He tweeted, “Don’t worry, we are making tweaks as we speak to make Walker Assault more balanced. The beta is in Imperial favor right now.”

The purpose of beta testing is to make sure the game is ready for launch. Hopefully the tweaks are in place by the time the game releases next month on November 17, 2015.
