It turns out people won’t only get an expansion that enhances From Software’s Bloodborne on November 24. Sony is hoping to entice newcomers into the fold with a game of the year edition that includes The Old Hunters expansion and the original game.
For those already part of the fold, The Old Hunters will provide access to new quests, areas, equipment, NPCs, enemies, and lore. It sends our Bloodborne characters into an alternate, horrifying world where old hunters are forced to eternally face terrifying foes like Ludwig.
While such a launch may seem premature, it makes sense. The Old Hunters will be Bloodborne ‘s only expansion, so once it’s out, the game is complete. People can buy the add-on alone for $19.99. Sony hasn’t said how much the Bloodborne Game of the Year Edition with the DLC will be. The main game was $59.99 when it launched back in March, and routinely goes on sale for $39.99 now. It wouldn’t be surprising for the GOTY to sell for $59.99 next month.
