Lightning Returns Again to Strike Steam in December

Lightning Returns Again to Strike Steam in December

Square Enix has been steadily porting the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy to WIndows PC from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This began with Final Fantasy XIII in October 2014, and continued with Final Fantasy XIII-2 in December 2014. It’s coming to an end, though! This December will bring with it the final title, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII .

Yoshinori Kitase, a Producer with Square Enix that worked on the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, posted the release window announcement on Twitter . All the ducks aren’t in a row, but the PC port will be released around December. Kitase didn’t explain why the game was delayed from fall to winter, though.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII was originally released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in February 2014. It’s a more character-centric piece, focused on Lightning as she spends 13 days attempting to save as many people as possible before the world ends. Due to Chaos’ influence and the goddess Etro’s death, people have stopped aging and no children have been born for years. Super optimistic, right? Check it out if you liked Valkyrie Profile , because it has a little in common with that series.
