You can Make Maps and Mods for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

It looks like one platform’s version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 just became the best one. No, this has nothing to do with the whole last generation of systems not getting a solo or cooperative campaign. This has to do with the announcement of fan-created content for the Windows PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Here’s what this means for players. Mapping and modding tools will be available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, allowing people to make their own maps and gameplay modes. Treyarch will be supporting this with Unranked Dedicated Server Files so people can use these custom maps and modes online. There’ll even be an Unranked Server Browser to help you find games with custom content.

However, the mapping and modding won’t be ready when Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on Windows PCs on November 6. The closed alpha for fan-made content will begin in March 2016.
