New Goodies Announced for Heroes of the Storm

New Goodies Announced for Heroes of the Storm

Huge things are coming to Heroes of the Storm . Blizzard’s MOBA may only be five months old, but BlizzCon 2015 revealed big things for the future of the game. At the event, people learned about three new heroes, a new map, and an additional gameplay mode. While one character stole the show, all of the announcements were pretty cool.

Cho’gall is the character in question. He’s a two-headed ogre that’s played by two people, bringing an old World of Warcraft April Fools Day joke to life. Cho is a warrior and Gall is an assassin.  Two players need to work together to play as him. The other new members of the cast have their own charms and are each ranged assassins. Greymane is a human who can transform into a worgen, and Lunara is a dryad centaur whose lower half is a deer.

Heroes of the Storm will have an arena added to the game. This will have 5v5 matches in three round competitions. Three random heroes will be offered before each match and, when a round begins, have to capture temples, defeat Garden Terrors, and destroy Cores.

The last addition is a Towers of Doom map. Unlike previous games, where players eventually drop guards and attack Cores, there’s no way to get past the Cores’ barriers here. Instead, you capture Alters to activate Bell Towers to strike Cores. Any team can take any Bell Tower, so controlling as many as possible is the key to success.

Blizzard hasn’t said when any of these updates will come to Heroes of the Storm , so keep an eye out for them.
