Riot will be celebrating the Holidays with a host of new skins vailable in its massively popular MOBA, League of Legends. Before going further, I should warn you that these skins are way too cute, and if you’re a Scrooge or Grinch type that is looking to preserve the icy status of your heart, it’s probably best for you to stay away from League of Legends for a while.
These Snow Day skins will be available for Bard, Syndra and Gnar. Bard’s skin is particularly cute, as it updates his minion companions to look like penguins, which he can then hurl at enemies. This skin will cost players just under 10 bucks.
Snow Day Gnar also gets penguins that he can throw at his foes, though his penguin is packed into a hunk of ice so it looks more deadly than, well, squishy. Still, cute!
On the cheaper side of the equation is the new ward skin that looks like a penguin wearing a scarf and winter hat. This will set players back 640 RP, or around 5 bucks.
Even if you’re not willing to spend money on the aesthetic DLC, you will still be able to celebrate the Holiday League of Legends style as the Snow Down event, set to run through December, will adorn the in-game minions with seasonal gear and plow trucks. Score.
