Microsoft has announced the Games with Gold titles that the Xbox Live Gold subscribers will get to enjoy in December. It’s a good month, since it means Xbox One owners aren’t just getting two games. Thanks to the newly added backwards compatibility, they get to enjoy five.
The three Xbox 360 games this month are CastleStorm, Sacred 3, and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. CastleStorm is available for free from December 1-15. Once its time is through, Sacred 3 and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising step up to replace it December 16-31. CastleStorm and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising are normally $9.99 each, while Sacred 3 is usually $19.99.
There are two Xbox One games this month. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing , which is normally $14.99, is free the entire month of December. Thief is free from December 16 until January 15. It’s normally $29.99, so getting it for free is quite a deal.
Given that they’re all free, all five games should end up proving to be quite a nice “gift” this holiday season.
