PlayStation 4 Surpasses 30 Million in Sales

PlayStation 4 Surpasses 30 Million in Sales

The PlayStation 4 seems like a force that can’t be stopped. Sony has announced that as of November 22, the PlayStation 4 has sold over 30.2 million units worldwide. That’s like every single man, woman, and child in Texas owning a PS4. The Xbox One is a great console with great games but, if we’re being honest, there’s no console war. The Xbox One was never a serious contender; when we check up on how the Xbone is doing it’s never to compare it to the PS4, it’s more like that friend that you go check up on after a breakup. “How ya doing? You ok?”

I rather suspect that by the end of the year, after Black Friday and the Holiday season, the PS4 could see 35 million sales. If you’re a PS4 owner (apparently there are a few of you), this is awesome news because publishers and developers want their biggest and best games running on the PS4; it has the biggest install base! Andrew House, president of SCEI, said in light of the news, “We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation.” 2016 is going to be a great year for fattening up your library, so start saving now.
