The PlayStation 4 doesn’t exactly offer the sort of backwards compatibility people would prefer, but it does offer PlayStation Now, a streaming game service with PlayStation 3 games. Normally, it’s rather expensive to keep up with, since there are only 1-month and 3-month options, but that’s going to temporarily change. Sony will briefly offer a 12-month subscription to the service.
One month of PlayStation Now usually costs $19.99, and three months is $44.99. Starting December 8, a full year will be $99.99. If you went month-to-month, it would be $239.88 and going with a three month at a time option is $179.96.
Sony hasn’t revealed how long it will offer the $99.99 yearly subscription. People currently going with a 1-month or 3-month subscription can add on a 12-month plan.
Remember, a PlayStation Now subscription doesn’t give you access to the full PlayStation Now library. Only about 100 games are part of the subscription, and the others are only available as rentals.
