ARK: Survival Evolved Takes Xbox One Players to the Stone Age

Open world survival games are all the rage. For one to really succeed, it has to have a gimmick. That’s what Studio Wildcard is doing with ARK: Survival Evolved . It’s a game where people have to craft, fight, and survive, while also befriending or defeating dinosaurs. It’s currently on Early Access on Steam and soon will be on Xbox Live too.

The Xbox One version of ARK: Survival Evolved will arrive on the Xbox Game Preview Program on December 16. For $34.99, people will be able to play the game as it develops and transforms into a final product. This is one of those Early Access games that’s received many positive updates since its June debut on Steam. The only real downside to this version is that the PC Early Access version is $29.99, so this is $5 more.

If all goes well, the full version of ARK: Survival Evolved should come to the Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 in 2016. It should hopefully be available in June.
