Deus Ex: Human Revolution now Backwards Compatible on Xbox One

The Xbox One’s library of backwards compatible titles just got augmented (see what I did there?). Now you’ll be able to play Square Enix and Eidos Montreal’s acclaimed, cyber-punk masterpiece Deus Ex: Human Revolution on your Xbox One, but many of you were apparently tweeting your questions about all of the extra content that comes with the definitive, Director’s Cut version of the game, as well as the Missing Link DLC. The official Deus Ex Twitter page sent out this tweet a few days ago to clarify:

“For those asking: Missing Link and DXHR Director’s Cut are currently not supported, but the Xbox team expect them to be early next year.” Unfortunately, even if you own the Director’s Cut and Missing Link content for 360, you’ll only be able to play the base game through backwards compatibility. While that’s kind of a bummer, I don’t see too many people complaining. I think fans are just glad to be able to play the game on their Xbox Ones, and “early next year” doesn’t sound so bad when compared to how long we’ll be waiting to play Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
