If you really like to savor your open world games, this news is going to hurt. Someone “beat” Fallout 3 in under 15 minutes. By which, I mean a person beat the game’s main quest in under 15 minutes, setting a new world record.
Rydou used a variety of bugs and glitches to quicksave, quickload, and clip through Fallout 3 for his 14 minute, 54.71 second speedrun through the game. By quicksaving and loading at the right points, he could clip through structures and avoid time-wasting story segments. This was also used to artificially boost his character’s walking and running speed.

This isn’t the end of Rydou’s speedrunning. He writes, “This time can still be improved, even if my raven rock was godly, my vault 87 was pretty awful, so I would like to get a sub 14:50.” Perhaps we could see a 14 and a half minute Fallout 3 speedrun someday?
