Can you believe Daybreak Game Studio’s DC Universe Online is five years old now? It’s crazy, but true. To celebrate the occasion and the fact that the developer is no longer locked into Sony platforms, the MMORPG is growing. It’s getting cross-play compatibility and coming to a new console.
The Xbox One is the new system getting DC Universe Online . The Xbox One version will be out in the spring. It’s free-to-play, though you can pay for additional episodes for your hero or villain.
The more recent DC Universe Online update will include cross-play compatibility. People on a PlayStation 4 or Windows PC will be able to play together starting January 25.
The last DC Universe Online update was January 6. Episode 20 was added to the game, ending The War of Light.
