Bayonetta 2 Rerelease to Be More Affordable, Easier to Find

Bayonetta 2 Rerelease to Be More Affordable, Easier to Find

When the Wii U exclusive title, Bayonetta 2 was released, it included a free copy of the first game from the series. Since then, gamers who have wanted to play it have had to hunt, as many retail stores have seemingly sold out completely. While the option still exists to play Bayonetta on other systems, fans who wanted to check out the sequel were left without a reliable approach. Now, Nintendo is putting Bayonetta 2 back in print.

Right now, the standalone version is only confirmed for North America and the price will be dropped to $29.99, a much more affordable price point than its original release. It will be available on February 19.

It is possible that Nintendo is doing this in preparation of the upcoming release of Bayonetta as a new character in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U. It’s a smart move, too, because the game is already popular enough as is. The additional exposure the character will receive from the Smash Bros. DLC should only serve to increase its popularity. May as well make a quick buck off the spike, right?
