You Can Download The Division Beta 48 Hours Ahead of Time

This time next week you could be downloading Tom Clancy’s The Division beta, assuming that you get access. The Division’s official French Facebook page has stated that the beta will be available for pre-load 48 hours before launch. The PC version reportedly weighs in at about 26 gigs, which is fairly sizable. We know that everyone who pre-ordered the game will be granted beta access, and I’m assuming that many on the wait list will be admitted as well. Due to the short duration of the beta, most people are assuming that this is going to be a stress test for servers, and Ubisoft will want to simulate launch day conditions as closely as possible.

As is typical with most betas of this kind, we don’t expect progress to carry over into the actual game. Even with Rainbow Six Siege , the beta for which concluded just a few days prior to the game’s launch, progress was not carried over. Beta testers for Siege received an exclusive skin for their guns, and we expect a similar gesture of appreciation for those who participate in The Division beta. The beta goes live Friday, January 29 (Thursday for Xbox One owners), and concludes the following Sunday.
