Treyarch is changing the way Call of Duty patches work. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’ s patch 1.05 is 9.4GB. Yes, that may seem odd, but it’s because it also adds the Awakening DLC to the game.
No, that doesn’t mean everyone gets Awakening for free. What it does mean is people who either purchase it or have a season pass only have to unlock Awakening’s content in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 , rather than go through another download. You go to the in-game store, find the Awakening Map Pack, and you’re set.

With this add-on, you get the Gauntlet, Rise, Skyjacked, and Splash Maps, as well as Zombies: Der Eisendrachen. It’s immediately available for the PlayStation 4 today, and will eventually come to the Xbox One and Windows PCs.
