Final Fantasy XV Might Come to PC

Everyone’s wondering what’s going to happen at Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV , the big, final fan event Square Enix is holding for the forthcoming JRPG in March. People have been diving into the code for the presentation’s website , in the hopes of discovering something surprising. What was found was a hint at a PC port.

The Javascript for the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV website had what people expected. There was information about the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One copies, as well as codes for links to order the game from them. However, it also had lines of code that said, “search(‘steampowered.com’),” “Steam Store,” and “pcRetailersArray.” All of these point to a PC version being available at stores like Steam.

Lending credence to this is swift reaction from Square Enix to the “leak.” The company has removed the code from the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV site. There has been no official statement, of course, but it’s worth noting that other Square Enix sites for games with PC versions, like Rise of the Tomb Raider , possess similar code.

Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV will be held at 7pm PT on March 30 at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium.
