Nintendo and DeNA’s first collaboration, Miitomo , is right around the corner. The game / social platform is coming out in March on iOS and Android, and you’ll be able to pre-register for Miitomo as soon as you create your new Nintendo Account. That’s right! The Nintendo Account is almost here, and you’ll be able to create your account on February 17 by using your Nintendo ID, email, or social media accounts. The Nintendo Account will be Nintendo’s central hub account moving forward, connecting all activities, social features, and rewards for all of its games and platforms.
By creating your Nintendo Account, you’ll be alerted as soon as Miitomo becomes available in March, and you’ll even get a special bonus by registering before launch day. It’s also been revealed that Nintendo will be dishing out two forms of reward currency through its Nintendo Account system: gold points or coins for purchasing software, and platinum points or coins for logging into Nintendo Account services and using its apps. I never thought I’d be excited about anything like this, but my calendar is marked; come February 17 I’ll be one of the first in line to register my Nintendo Account. Catch ya on Miitomo next month.
