Io-Interactive is launching a special beta for Hitman this Friday, February 12, for PS4 players. Of course, there’s a catch: the only way to guarantee beta access is to – you guessed it – pre-order the game via PSN (or Steam for PC players). Beta access comes with the purchase of the Intro Pack, Full Experience, and Collector’s Edition. The beta will run February 12-14 on PS4, and February 19-21 on PC.
The beta will actually serve as a prologue of sorts, introducing players to Agent 47 through a special set of two, free-form training hits that took place 20 years before the Paris Showstopper mission. Players will be introduced to the ICA and witness Agent 47’s first meeting with future “handler” Diana Burnwood (hilarious last name). For those of you on the fence about pre-ordering, the prologue will be available as part of the first episode of Hitman, so there’s no risk of missing content if you want to wait it out. The first episode will be released March 11, and in the meantime you can check out the beta trailer below:
