Seeing mods for games based on different games is normal. Seeing those mods get permission from the original creators is awesome. That’s exactly what happened with a Fallout 4 mod. Someone named Renn wanted to put The Witcher 3 equipment into the game, asked CD Projekt Red if that was okay, and the developer said yes.
Geralt’s Prologue Gears is the result. It adds a crossbow weapon and armor to Fallout 4 that resemble The Witcher 3’ s gears. They also come with a Witcher wolf mask with three different kinds of eyes, an outfit, Viper armor, and matching gloves. All items can be worn by anyone. The crossbow can even use pistol or rifle ammo.
The only thing that breaks the immersion is the sound. The gears still sound like guns instead of crossbows. Maybe that’s something that will change. For now, you’ll have to be content with looking like Geralt in Fallout 4 .
