Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Server Lag Reduced for Anyone Still Playing

Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Server Lag Reduced for Anyone Still Playing

Do you still play Battlefield 4 ? Good for you! EA and DICE have a reward for your devotion. You’re going to start seeing less lag when you play online. Well, provided you also play online under certain conditions.

Today, a Battlefield 4 update will change the server tickrate from 30hz to 45hz. This means less lag on the servers and they’ll update faster. You’ll see a marked improvement, providing you’re still playing this two year old game.

However, only certain people get to notice the difference. The rollout begins in North America for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. It’ll be released everywhere a few days later, on February 11.

There’s one more catch. You have to be playing in a Battlefield 4 multiplayer match with at most 32 players. If you’re playing with 64 people, the default is still 30hz. But hey, at least some people are going to notice a big difference!
