There is nothing better than retro gaming on the go. For those of you who own and cherish a PS Vita (seriously, why aren’t there more of you out there), you’ll be pumped to know that Breath of Fire III has been released as a new PSOne classic. For a mere $10, you can experience what has been hailed as the best entry in the Breath of Fire franchise.
From the PlayStation Blog: “The legendary RPG series Breath of Fire returns with tales of long forgotten worlds, intrepid heroes, and ancient, mystical powers. A destiny awaits you. A small boy on the run. A dragon reborn in flames… The last of an extinct race, with mighty powers.”
That small dragon-boy would be Ryu, who has a reputation for being a compelling protagonist that drives a story that meanders at times, but eventually comes together in a really thrilling way. To be clear, this is the PSP port that came out a while back, and not a redone PlayStation port. According to fans, this is perfectly acceptable. I’ve been told that I need to play this game right away, and I plan to do so. What about you guys? Were you waiting for this one?
