Nothing pushes my grumpy old man buttons like new Pokemon. What the heck happened to 150 pokemon plus Mew? Isn’t that enough?! Seriously, if we gotta catch ’em all, 150 is more than enough. Do you know how many Pokemon there are now? If you’re a big Pokemon fan, then of course you know. For those of you who, like me, are still living in the Red / Blue days, the count is up to 721. I mean holy hell, how are we supposed to keep up with that many critters? And guess what? You can scratch that number; the count is now at 722. We have a new Pokemon on our hands.
There’s a monthly Japanese manga publication known as CoroCoro that just released the first image and some new information regarding a brand new pokemon called Magiana. Magiana is a man-made pokemon, and we don’t yet know its type for sure. In the image it looks like it’s made of metal and surrounded by a flash of yellow, so it might be an electric type (but what do I know, I can only name 150 Pokemon). The magazine reveals that Magiana was made 500 years ago, and is being chased by Volcanion (the last new Pokemon to be announced). Apparently Volcanion knows Magiana’s secret. There’s a new Pokemon movie in the works, so you’ll likely know Magiana’s secret as well, though we don’t know when.
