If you haven’t booted up Just Cause 3 in a while, Square Enix is looking to seduce you back with the promise of more mayhem, bigger explosions, and over-the-top action. The Sky Fortress expansion is coming next month, and it will contain a whole new set of missions, as well as new toys to play with that you can use in any of the previous missions as well. By far the most intriguing among these is the “Bavarium Wingsuit,” which adds shoulder mounted machine guns and auto targeting missiles; you basically become a human jet fighter.
“If Just Cause 3 is over-the-top action then the Air, Land and Sea Expansion pass aims to stand on its shoulders and reach even higher,” said Tobias Andersson, Senior Producer at Avalanche Studios. “An incredible amount of time has been spent ensuring every new item is fully integrated into the main game and can be used during existing missions. Rico’s new Bavarium Wingsuit will fundamentally alter the core gameplay of Just Cause 3 and we can’t wait to see the crazy stunts that players perform with it.”
The Sky Fortress expansion will set you back $12, and SE plans to have all three expansions out by the end of summer. If you plan on picking up all three you’ll definitely want to opt for the Air, Land & Sea expansion pass, which nets you all three for $25, and you’ll also get each expansion a week before anyone else.
