Quantum Break Includes Day-One Pirate Patch

Quantum Break Includes Day-One Pirate Patch

We’re all used to conditional exclusives. Pre-order a game to get early access to a beta; get the day-one edition to unlock some extra items; buy the season pass and get instant access to some new cosmetic upgrades. This is all pretty typical practice. It’d be strange, though, to put a cool looking piece of gear in your game that’s only accessible if you’re playing it illegitimately. That’s exactly what Quantum Break did.

In the PC version of Quantum Break , your character will be wearing a pretty sweet looking eyepatch if the game thinks you’re playing a pirated copy. You’d basically be walking around with a big ‘ol jolly roger on your face and, honestly, that sounds kind of cool. As Quantum Break uses Denuvo protection, it’s not likely to be cracked any time soon. If you really want to see Jack wearing an eyepatch you’ll have to try starting the game up after logging out of the Windows Store to trigger the DRM.
