There’s big news in the world of Mafia III . Most importantly, that the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC game has a release date. It’ll be out on October 7, and available in a $59.99 standard edition, $79.99 deluxe edition, and $149.99 collector’s edition.
You get pretty much what you’d expect from each of the Mafia III edition options. The basic one offers players the game. Spend $20 more, and you get the season pass too. The $150 version gives you the game, the season pass, an art book, art prints, and the soundtrack on an LP. Pre-ordering any of them also gets you Family Kick-Back DLC with three cars and weapons.
2K Games also released a Mafia III trailer. It goes over Lincoln Clay’s new underworld life in 1968 New Bordeaux (read: New Orleans) after he gets back from the Vietnam War. He puts together his own Family, capital “F” intended, and sets off to become New Bordeaux’s biggest boss.
Mafia III is looking pretty good so far. I love the use of Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man” in that video!
