Nintendo NX Launching March 2017

Nintendo NX Launching March 2017

Nintendo quietly, silently dropped some huge bombs early this morning. We received a bunch of information as a result of its annual earnings report to shareholders – the type of information that would have made for a thrilling Nintendo Direct. It makes sense now that Kimishima is at the helm that we’re getting these breaks as part of a press release summary of an earnings report. If Iwata were still around I’d probably be linking you back to a video of a Muppet, but it is what it is.

The biggest news out of these report is the release date of Nintendo’s newest console, codenamed NX. The NX is “a brand-new concept” and will launch globally in March 2017. This will come as a disappointing surprise to many (myself included) who were expecting Nintendo to have its newest console ready for holiday 2016. It’s also a little disappointing to note that the NX won’t be shown off during E3 at all, but will be revealed later in the year. You can bet that every Nintendo Direct announced after E3 is going to attract mass viewership for that reason. Until then, stay tuned to CheatCC for all your Nintendo news and the latest breaks.
