Apparently Infinity Ward is working on a new Call of Duty game - something called Infinite Warfare, and it takes place in space or something. I don't know, whatever. The real news here is the Modern Warfare remaster. While I've always been a big fan of Infinity Ward's take on the series (something about the Treyarch games never appealed to me), I haven't been truly excited for a new Call of Duty since, well, since Modern Warfare. This game changed everything and ushered in a new era of cinematic, next-gen shooters. I can also say without exaggeration that Modern Warfare had the most solid multiplayer out of any game in the series.
That's why I'm so stoked that a recent advert has leaked a few more details about the remaster. Apparently it will contain the entire campaign, as well as 10 out of the original 16 multiplayer maps. Why 6 maps have been excluded is a mystery but I'll pissed if they end up being the 6 best maps, held back as premium DLC or some nonsense. All I want is solid servers on which to play Modern Warfare with no hackers. And please, Infinity Ward, please give us Winter Crash; maybe even a 24/7 Winter Crash TDM playlist. Is that so much to ask?
