Who loves Splatoon ? Show of hands, people! Or maybe tentacles? Either way, the Wii U game’s great. It’s about to get even better, because Callie and Marie amiibo have been announced. The Squid Sisters are getting their own NFC figures.
Here’s the announcement video, showing the Squid Sisters immortalized in plastic.
Scanning the Callie or Marie amiibo into Splatoon changes the aesthetic. The two will appear in Inkopolis, performing a concert. The background music will change to Callie and/or Marie performing their songs. It’s frivolous, but fun.
Callie and Marie will get their own amiibo on July 8. They’ll be $24.99 in a two-pack that gives you both characters. There will also be recolors of the Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, and Squid amiibos. You can get the two new Inkling recolors the same day for $12.99, or in a three-pack with the orange Squid for $34.99.
